Au travers du parcours du docteur Elie Buzyn, ici retracé à la troisième personne, se dessine toute la complexité de la reconstruction de l'être humain frappé par la barbarie nazie de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Ayant miraculeusement échappé à la mort durant les cinq longues années qui l'ont conduit du ghetto de Lodz au camp d'Auschwitz, mais ayant vu disparaître ses proches et ses repères, le docteur Buzyn n'a eu de cesse, tout au long de sa vie, d'obéir à l'injonction de sa mère « vivre et faire vivre » autour de lui. The story of the Doctor Elie Buzyn, related here in the third person, reveals the whole complexity of the reconstruction of the human being stricken by the Nazi barbarism of World War II. Doctor Buzyn miraculously escaped from death during the five long years which led him from the Lodz ghetto to the Auschwitz camp, but he saw his close relatives and his bearings disappear, so that he has never stopped - during his whole life - following the injunction of his mother to "live and make people live" around him.
