La problématique consiste à proposer - en partant de la métaphore que constitue l'étude d'une société traditionnelle - une articulation à plus vaste échelle des coutumes avec les nouvelles normes qui entrent en concurrence avec elles, et ce en s'inspirant d'un paradigme national topique pour le replacer dans un contexte international. En effet, à la différence de ce qu'elles sont au Vanuatu, les coutumes dans un monde globalisé ne sont pas nécessairement le propre des structures traditionnelles, mais souvent la production de groupes, développant ainsi flexibilité, sophistication et puissance. Starting from the metaphor of the study of a traditional society, the problematics consist in proposing an articulation - at a larger scale - between the customs and the new norms which challenge them, with a national topical paradigm as a basis in order to replace it in an international context. Indeed, contrary to what they are in the Vanuatu, in a globalized world customs are not necessarily peculiar to traditional structures, but they are often the production of groups, thus developing flexibility, sophistication and strength.
