| Résumé | À la fenêtre de Vingtième Siècle (1984 - 2000), Nicolas Roussellier. Née en 1984, Vingtième Siècle avait pour ambition d'ouvrir l'histoire contemporaine au « temps présent » (1940 à nos jours), au renouveau en cours de l'histoire politique et à des préoccupations (et un public) non strictement universitaires. Le bilan actuel montre que la revue a bien été le tremplin des courants nés du renouveau de l'histoire politique (histoire des intellectuels, histoire des institutions et des pratiques culturelles, histoire des cultures politiques). Mais la trop faible ouverture internationale et le poids de l'hyper-spécialisation restent préoccupants. | |
| Résumé anglais | At the Window of Vingtième Siècle (1984 - 2000), Nicolas Roussellier. Born in 1984, Vingtième Siècle 's ambition was to open contemporary history to the "present time" (1940 to today), to the renewal of political history and to the concerns (and an audience) not strictly academic. The balance sheet shows that the journal bas been the springboard of currents born from the renewal of political history (history of intellectuals, history of institutions and cultural practices, history of political cultures). But the journal suffers from hyper-specialization and is weak in international openings. | |
