Résumé anglais Current scientific advances promise a new revolution in military affairs: the augmentation capacities of the solider—additional or intrusive—will resemble transhumanist dreams or science-fiction scenarios. However, just as the ancient hubris cannot exist without the inevitable punishment that is the nemesis, this dream of augmentation is accompanied by moral drifts that could put the operational interest of the concept into question. Consequently, it is within an ethical—and therefore human—framework that we need to look for a soldier's improvement, and be wise enough to fix moral limits to technological augmentation in order not to succumb to the temptation of the hubris.
