Photographe et grand reporter, Nicolas Mingasson a partagé pendant un an la vie d'une unité de combat engagée en Afghanistan. En 2016, il a publié 1 929 jours. Le deuil de guerre au XXe siècle, un recueil d'entretiens menés pendant deux ans avec les parents, les épouses, les enfants, les frères d'armes et les chefs des soldats français morts en Afghanistan. Nicolas Mingasson, a photographer and distinguished reporter, shared a year in the life of a combat unit in Afghanistan. In 2016, he published 1 929 Jours: Le deuil de guerre au XXIe siècle : a collection of interviews over two years with the parents, wives, children, comrades-in-arms and the commanding officers of French soldiers who died in Afghanistan.
