Parcourir quelques philosophies du temps de guerre, en allant du premier conflit mondial aux attentats terroristes de 2015-2016, donne l'idée qu'une histoire européenne de la guerre (en l'occurrence franco-allemande dans les textes ici sélectionnés) a été en germination. Aux générations qui viennent, le tracé du changement de société qui marque leur temps, entre l'âge héroïque des nations et l'âge économique de la performance entrepreneuriale, indique un devoir de lucidité indispensable à la hauteur de vue réclamée par la paix. Browsing a few wartime philosophies, stretching from the first world war to the terrorist attacks in 2015–2016 sparks the idea that a European history of war (Franco-German in the texts selected here) has been slowly taking shape. For the generations to come, the story of the change of society that marks their time, between the heroic age of nations and the economic age of business performance, calls for a duty of lucidity, essential for the detached, wide-angle view demanded by peace.
