De Noé aux patriarches et à Moïse, les alliances conclues avec Dieu concernent tous les enfants d'Israël, afin de leur transmettre les principales lignes de conduite pour contribuer à la construction d'un monde heureux. En ce sens, l'Arche d'alliance symbolise un pacte, une promesse, une alliance entre Dieu et l'humanité, préparant la réception de la parole divine. Les dix commandements qui y sont conservés sont des principes porteurs d'espérance, de générosité et de bonheur. De leur respect découlent l'épanouissement et le bonheur des hommes. From Noah to the patriarchs and Moses, the alliances, or “covenants”, made with God concerned all the children of Israel, as a means of instilling in them the guiding principles of conduct contributing to the establishment of the Hebrew world. In this sense, the Ark of the Covenant symbolizes a pact, a promise and an alliance between God and humanity, paving the way for the reception of the divine word. The Ten Commandments, which were kept in the Ark, are principles of hope, generosity and happiness. Obedience to them forms the foundations for the flourishing and happiness of humankind.
