Cet article s'intéresse au fonctionnement et à la logique d'action de l'IICI dans un contexte socio-politique (la Coopération intellectuelle et la Société des Nations) et une période (1931-1936) où il devient fondamental d'œuvrer en faveur de la révision des manuels scolaires. Si le cadrage de l'action de l'IICI et la part relative d'autonomie de cette institution et de ses agents se superposent à des moyens humains et financiers très limités, l'IICI s'impose progressivement comme une agence travaillant sur les questions éducatives, et en particulier la révision des manuels, d'une manière originale et pragmatique, qui n'est pas sans enjeux politiques ni diplomatiques. This article delves into the functioning and logic of action of the IICI in a socio-political context (Intellectual Cooperation and League of Nations) during a period (1931-1936) when it became fundamental to advocate for the revision of textbooks. While the framework of the IICI's work and the relative autonomy of this institution and its agents were hampered by very limited human and financial resources, the IICI gradually established itself as an agency working on educational issues, in particular on the revision of textbooks.
