Les systèmes judiciaires des pays frappés par la pandémie de Covid-19 ont dû adapter les uns après les autres leur fonctionnement du fait des contraintes du confinement et de l'ensemble des précautions sanitaires prises pour freiner la propagation du virus. La Commission européenne pour l'efficacité de la justice (CEPEJ), pour le Conseil de l'Europe, a dressé un premier bilan des adaptations effectuées par les juridictions dans leurs modes d'organisation, les priorités dégagées, l'utilisation des nouvelles technologies et les garanties du procès équitable. La gestion des ressources humaines au sein des juridictions, les rapports avec les avocats, l'attention portée aux justiciables sont aussi au premier rang des recommandations adoptées par le Conseil de l'Europe. The judicial systems of the countries hit by the Covid-19 pandemic have had to adapt one after the other their functioning due to the constraints of containment and all the health precautions taken to stop the spread of the virus. The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice, on behalf of the Council of Europe, has drawn up an initial assessment of the adaptations made by the jurisdictions in their modes of organisation, the priorities identified, the use of new technologies and the guarantees of a fair trial. The management of human resources within the courts, relations with lawyers, and the attention paid to litigants are also at the forefront of the recommendations adopted by the Council of Europe.
