La documentation existante offre une chronique du débarquement de verre et d'émail vénitien à la cour de Pékin. Cet aspect de la contribution de Venise aux échanges culturels entre l'Europe et la Chine a été jusqu'à présent peu pris en considération – une omission à laquelle les archives mobilisées dans cet article permettront de remédier afin d'offrir une autre perspective sur la production de produits émaillés sous la dynastie des Qing (1644-1912). Existing documentation chronicles the transshipment of Venetian glass and enamels to the court in Beijing. This aspect of Venice's contributions to the cultural exchange between Europe and China has been somewhat overlooked. The records cited in this paper will hopefully correct this omission and introduce another perspective into the production of enamel wares during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).
