Le but de cette contribution est de présenter les obstacles au processus d'inclusion sociale des jeunes provenant de quartiers défavorisés à partir de l'exemple d'un quartier de Lodz en Pologne. Les problèmes présentés font partie d'une reconstruction logique qui est le résultat d'une observation participante de trois ans de la part de l'auteur.Les raisons qui ont mené à l'observation de ce quartier n'ont pas été définies formellement. Elles étaient doubles :l'observation spontanée du chercheur : l'auteur était à la fois chercheur et habitant du quartier. Le fait d'être un pédagogue social l'a amené à s'intéresser à la manière dont les jeunes passaient leur temps.la fascination du chercheur pour les études qualitatives dans des cadres sociaux naturels.La perspective théorique qui a étayé l'orientation du chercheur est l'interactionnisme (Blumer, 1954). The contribution presents the part of qualitative study that was conducting by the author during three years. The subject matter of the research was the process of social development of teenagers from the unprivileged Lodz neighbourhood analysed from interactional perspective with the usage of the grounded theory method (Glaser, Strauss, 1967). The holistic insight she has got results from different roles she performed during the study, be they: a neighbour, street worker, advocate, the legal guardian of one of the boys and an academic teacher doing the research (in the contact with representatives of social professions, be they: social workers at schools, probation officers, judges, police workers). The main actors of the research were six teenage boys who were introducing the researcher into the daily routine of their basic social context, what allowed to reconstruct some interactional processes that are meaningful for the actors and seem to have an influence on their social participation in other social contexts. The dynamics of those processes, their interdependence, enriched with photos performed by actors themselves and perspectives for social practice constitute the content of the contribution.
