Concernant le travail social, il semble que la majeure partie des recherches qui visent à produire un discours scientifique définissent ce champ de l'extérieur, par un examen sur le travail social, au moyen de méthodes et de discours importés de disciplines diverses. Cette contribution part de ce constat, et dans l'optique de la constitution d'un savoir autonome en travail social, fait l'hypothèse que l'utilisation de la philosophie peut s'avérer féconde. Les deux axes de cette contribution sont donc les suivants : 1) tenter d'examiner la place que peut prendre la philosophie dans la constitution de ce champ de recherche qu'est le travail social ; 2) si l'on admet que le langage est ce qui structure la pratique des travailleurs sociaux, on montrera, en appliquant la méthode de l'analyse du langage ordinaire qu'on trouve notamment dans les Recherches philosophiques de Wittgenstein, en quoi la philosophie peut être un outil afin de discerner les problèmes de la recherche en travail social, leur délimitation comme leur extension. Philosophy and Social work : how to contribute to a field and a method true to the research in Social work ?Concerning social work, it seems that the main part of the researches that tends to produce a scientific speech define this field from the outside, through an exam on social work, by means of methods and speeches imported from other disciplines. This contribution from this report, and in the perspective of the set up of an autonomous knowledge in social work, makes the hypothesis that the use of philosophy can turn out to be productive. The two axes in this contribution are the following ones:Tempting to examine the place that philosophy can take in the constitution in this field of research which is social work;If we admit that language is what structures the practice of the social workers, we will show, applying the method of the common language analysis seen in particular in the Philosophical Investigations by Wittgenstein, in which philosophy can be a tool to recognize the research problems in social work, their delimitation as well as their extension.
