Dans cet article, nous proposons d'aborder plusieurs points relatifs à l'épistémologie sous-jacente à la construction des connaissances « de l'intérieur » scientifiquement « revisitées » dans le champ du travail social. Nécessairement se poseront au fil du discours les questions de la nécessité (ou non), de l'opportunité légitime (ou non), de la création d'une discipline propre au travail social dans son projet de légitimation des recherches menées dans ce champ professionnel. Y seront confrontés les postures différentes (acteur/chercheur) et leurs apports mutuels à partir d'une réflexion sur l'implication de l'acteur dans la construction d'un objet de recherche. Deux modélisations complémentaires seront discutées : l'une visant essentiellement la différenciation épistémologiquement incontournable entre questions de terrain et questions de recherche, l'autre la question d'une distanciation productive dans la mise à plat du rapport au terrain et à l'objet de recherche. Professional research, scientific research: what status for social work research? In this article, we suggest to approach several points about the underlying epistemology in the construction of the knowledge « from the inside « scientifically «revisited» in the field of the social work. In this comment, we asked the questions of the necessity (or not), of the justifiable opportunity (or not), to create a specific discipline for the social work in its project of legitimization of the researches led in this professional field. Their mutual contributions from a thinking on the implication of the actor in the construction of an object of research will be confronted with actor's implication in the different postures (actor / researcher).Two complementary modellings will be discussed : one aiming essentially at the epistemological differentiation between questions coming from field end questions coming from research; the other one, the question of a productive detachment and complementarity in the relation between the field and the object research.
