Pour commencer à reproblématiser la question de l'universel,
cet article confronte une théorie politique critique à indices
empiriques au terrain de la compétition entre la lutte contre
l'antisémitisme et la lutte contre l'islamophobie dans la France du
premier quart du XXIe siècle. Après cette première polarisation
manichéenne observée dans les débats publics français, il
est conduit à traiter d'une autre opposition manichéenne :
entre un identitarisme national-républicain et son double
inversé « décolonial ». Ce qui permet de nourrir, finalement, la
perspective d'un déplacement de l'universel en universalisable,

To begin to re-problematize the question of the universal, this
article confronts a critical political theory with empirical evidence
to the terrain of the competition between the fight against anti-Semitism and the fight against Islamophobia in France in the first
quarter of the 21st century. After this first Manichean polarization
observed in French public debates, it is led to deal with
another Manichean opposition: between a national-republican
identitarianism and its inverted “decolonial” double. This allows
us to nourish, in the end, the perspective of a displacement of
the universal into the universalizable, with the help of Hannah
