À partir du cas des « amulettes des amazones » (bo des agoojiée) conservées au musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, cet article porte sur la domination masculine et coloniale à l'œuvre dans la constitution des collections comme dans les processus actuels de restitution. Croisant les sources écrites et orales, il reconstitue l'histoire de la « récolte » de ces amulettes pendant la guerre oubliée de 1890, retrace leur parcours muséal et restitue les savoirs et les mémoires des actuelles reines et amazones (agoojiée) d'Abomey. La subversion dans le genre que représentent les agoojiée et leur bo autorise à repenser la question patrimoniale à l'aune des matrimoines que représentent ces savoirs-puissances. Based on the case of the “amulets of the Amazons” (bo of the Agoojiée) kept at the musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, this article examines the male and colonial domination at work in the constitution of the collections as well as in the current restitution processes. By cross-referencing written and oral sources, this article reconstructs the history of the “gathering” of these amulets during the forgotten war of 1890, traces their journey through the museum, and restores the knowledge and memories of the current queens and Amazons (Agoojiée) of Abomey. The subversion of the genre represented by the Agoojiée and their bo, allows us to rethink the question of heritage in light of the “matrimoines” represented by these knowledge-powers.
