Devenue reine par accident en 1952, après la disparition prématurée de son père, elle a réussi à surmonter toutes les crises, politiques, diplomatiques et familiales, pour asseoir l'une des institutions les plus anachroniques au monde : la monarchie britannique. Having become queen by accident in 1952, after the premature death of her father, she managed to overcome all the political, diplomatic and family crises, and to consolidate one of the most anachronistic institutions in the world : the British monarchy.
