Cet article présente des informations sur la cérémonie de nettoyage des caneaux d'irrigation et la demande de pluies à Socaire, dans le nord du Chili. Il s'agit de mettre en évidence l'importance rituelle des montagnes et le rôle des éléments naturels dans l'organisation sociale du calendrier dans cette communauté. Différentes hypothèses sur l'importance du ciel et l'existence d'éventuelles lignes d'invitation (ceques) sont discutées, ainsi que des propositions géographiques pour la localisation et la hiérarchie des collines tutélaires de la région. De la comparaison avec les informations ethnohistoriques de Cuzco et d'autres systèmes radiaux des Andes, nous concluons à l'importance de l'eau et des collines en tant qu'entités sacrées pour le monde Atacameño. Plus précisément aux mois d'août, septembre et octobre, qui coïncident avec le début de l'année agricole, le nettoyage des canaux et le réveil des grands-parents à Socaire, respectivement. This paper presents background information on the canal cleaning ceremony and request of rains in Socaire, northern Chile. The intention is to highlight the ritual importance of the mountains and the role that the elements of nature have with the social organization in this community. Different hypotheses about the importance of the sky and the existence of possible ceque lines are discussed, as well as geographic proposals for the location and hierarchy of the tutelary hills of the region. Based comparison with ethnohistorical information from Cuzco and other radial systems of the Andes, we confirm the importance of water and mountains as sacred entities in the Atacameño world, particularly in the months of August, September and October, which coincide with the beginning of the agricultural year, the cleaning of canals and the awakening of the grandparents in Socaire, respectively.
