Le mode de pensée est depuis longtemps un mode « substantif ». Le raisonnement sociologique n'y échappait pas. Marginal et longtemps oublié, un auteur du début du XXe siècle, G. Simmel, avait, lui, fait de l'entre-deux la prémisse centrale de sa sociologie.Dans ce texte, nous reprenons cette idée de construire l'entre-deux comme condition de la réflexion sociologique. Peut-être à tort, ne partirons-nous pas de la sociologie de Simmel. Mais, nous développerons le raisonnement à partir de points de vue en interdépendance. Trois programmes seront développés : le programme conceptuel relatif aux systèmes semi-chaotiques, le programme relatif aux réseaux et enfin à ce programme novateur développant la notion de transaction sociale. The mode of thought has long been a “substantive” mode. Sociological reasoning was no exception. Marginal and long forgotten, an author from the beginning of the 20th century, G. Simmel, had made the in-between the central premise of his sociology.In this text, we take up this idea of constructing the in-between as a condition for sociological reflection. Perhaps wrongly, we will not start from Simmel's sociology. But, we will develop the reasoning from interdependent points of view. Three programs will be developed: the conceptual program relating to semi-chaotic systems, the program relating to networks and finally to this innovative program developing the notion of social transaction.
