L'auteure décrit quelques-unes des difficultés apparues lors des deux dernières années d'expérimentation d'AFEST, en insistant sur les limites méthodologiques et théoriques concernant l'utilisation de la notion de compétence. Cela la conduit à investiguer une autre notion, celle de situation de travail. Comment définir et limiter une situation de travail pour qu'elle devienne un concept opérant ? Car finalement, l'intérêt de l'AFEST réside bien dans sa capacité à prendre en considération non pas le travail en général mais un certain travail dans un certain contexte avec certains acteurs. The author describes some of the difficulties encountered during the last two years of experimentation, insisting on the limitations both methodological and theoretical regarding the use of the notion of competence. This will lead her to investigate another concept : the work situation. How to define and limit a work situation so that it becomes an operating concept ? Because ultimately, the interest of AFEST lies in its ability to take work into consideration: not work in general but this work in this context with these actors.
