Résumé : Partant d'une perspective microsociologique, l'objectif de cet article est d'analyser comment les objets participent activement à la définition des formes par lesquelles les individus s'engagent dans une action réciproque. À cet égard, sera considéré un objet d'usage quotidien: la lampe. Dans la première partie, les fondements culturels de la lampe seront étudiés afin de mettre en évidence la relation chiasmatique entre la dimension individuelle et collective. Dans la deuxième partie, à partir de la notion de style, on examinera le champ symbolique dans lequel se jouent ces relations. Enfin, on soulignera que ce processus de signification symbolique a un caractère ambivalent. A côté des aspects fonctionnels des objets, les aspects esthétiques seront pris en considération, et les dynamiques à partir desquelles naissent des formes d'association spécifiques seront analysées. Abstract: Starting from a microsociological perspective, the aim of this paper is to analyze how objects actively participate in the definition of forms through which individuals engage in reciprocal action. In this regard, an object of daily use, namely the lamp, will be considered. In the first part, the cultural foundations of the lamp will be investigated in order to highlight the chiasmatic relationship between the individual and collective dimension. In the second part, starting from the notion of style, the symbolic field in which these relationships are played out will be examined. Finally, it will be emphasized that this process of symbolic signification has an ambivalent nature. Alongside the functional aspects of the objects, the aesthetic aspects will be taken into consideration, and the dynamics from which specific forms of association arise will be analyzed.
