Résumé anglais In Seine-Saint-Denis, in this territory on the periphery of the metropolis of France, known for being the red suburb at a time in its history, at the end of the presidential/legislative sequence 2022, the hegemony of the Left is more than confirmed with scores rarely achieved for the left candidates in the 1 st round of the presidential election in France, confirmed by the “grand slam” of the legislative elections. The national results confirm a reconfiguration of the power relations installed for years and can question the future of the red suburbs. These political dynamics are part of the still strong rise of abstention and a post-colonial issue that is still so worrying. The territorial reality is gradually changing with the construction of the Grand Paris Express and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, without the social and territorial inequalities holding back and without a strong metropolitan power emerging despite twenty years of debate.
