Pour relever les nouveaux défis du XXIe siècle, notamment en matière de travail décent et de justice sociale, dans un monde du travail en mutation constante marqué par la révolution numérique, la mondialisation de l'économie et les nécessités du commerce international, l'Organisation internationale du travail (OIT) a adopté, lors de la 108e session de la Conférence internationale du travail, le 21 juin 2019, la Déclaration du centenaire pour l'avenir du travail. Cet instrument de droit mou (soft law) qui définit les axes du mandat de l'organisation pour le siècle à venir mérite l'analyse, afin de supputer sa pertinence par rapport aux moyens d'action dont dispose l'organisation, à savoir les normes et la coopération technique. Pour ce faire, nous examinerons, d'une part, les principes cardinaux de la Déclaration garantissant le travail axé sur l'humain et, d'autre part, ses procédés intrinsèques assurant cette nouvelle approche de travail. To meet the new challenges of the 21st century, especially in terms of decent work and social justice, in a world of work in constant change marked by the digital revolution, the globalisation of the economy and the needs of international trade, the International Labour Organization (ILO) adopted the Centenary Declaration for the Future of Work at the 108th Session of the International Labour Conference on June 21, 2019. This soft law instrument which defines the axes of the mandate of the organization for the next century deserves to be analysed, in order to infer its relevance in relation to the means of action available to the organization, namely standards and technical cooperation. To do so, we will examine, on the one hand, the cardinal principles of the Declaration guaranteeing human-centered work and, on the other hand, its intrinsic processes ensuring this new approach to work.
