	Résumé	Il existe un véritable panthéon de théories, d'outils et de méthodologies à la disposition des consultants chercheurs-praticiens. Schein (1999) décrit trois grandes approches de conseil allant de l'expert (orientation technique spécifique à un sujet), au médecin-patient (une variante d'expert avec plus d'attention aux symptômes et à la perspective du client) et au conseil en processus (aider une organisation à développer des capacités fondamentales pour soutenir et étendre les améliorations à court terme). Nous explorons la contribution de la théorie socio-économique à ce domaine, avec une attention particulière à son expansion de la recherche-action vers l'intervention et la recherche qualimétrique, et les implications plus larges que ces innovations apportent à la pratique et à la théorie du conseil en management. 	Résumé anglais	There is a veritable pantheon of theories, tools, and methodologies available to scholar-practitioner consultants. Schein (1999) describes three broad consulting approaches ranging from expert (topic-specific technical guidance), doctor-patient (a variant of expert with more attention to the client's symptoms and perspective), and process consulting (helping an organization develop fundamental capabilities to sustain and expand near-term improvements). We explore the contribution of the Socio-Economic Approach to Management (SEAM) to the field herein, with special attention to its expansion of action research into intervention and qualimetric research, and the broader implications these innovations bring to management consulting practice and theory.
