Cet article explore la reproduction quotidienne et négociée des infrastructures électriques à Ibadan dans un Nigéria en proie à une profonde crise du secteur électrique. L'étude porte non pas sur les activités des institutions et des travailleurs officiellement chargés du service, mais sur les relations et interactions entre citadins et compagnie d'électricité et sur les pratiques ordinaires d'accès à l'électricité pour interroger comment et par qui les infrastructures sont maintenues dans un relatif état de fonctionnement. Les mobilisations communautaires, les négociations, les arrangements avec les normes officielles et les pratiques de sécurisation observés s'avèrent ambivalents : ils participent localement au maintien en fonctionnement des infrastructures au jour le jour, mais menacent l'équilibre économique et technique d'ensemble du secteur. La recherche démontre finalement l'importance de prêter attention à la fois aux mobilisations et négociations du réseau et aux pratiques de sécurisation, qu'elles soient en réseau ou hors-réseau, du fait de leurs interdépendances fonctionnelles. This paper explores the everyday and negotiated reproduction of electricity infrastructures in Ibadan (Nigeria) in the midst of a deep crisis in the electricity sector. The study focuses not on the activities of the institutions and workers officially in charge of the service, but on the relations and interactions between urban residents and the electricity company and on the ordinary practices of access to electricity in order to interrogate how and by whom the infrastructures are maintained in a relative state of functioning. The community mobilisations, negotiations, arrangements with official norms and securing practices observed turn out to be ambivalent: they participate locally in keeping the infrastructures in operation on a day-to-day basis, but threaten the overall economic and technical balance of the sector. Finally, the research demonstrates the importance of paying attention to both the mobilisation and negotiation within the grid and the securing practices, whether they are in or off-grid, because of their functional interdependence.
