Les formations au travail social ont pour but de faire acquérir des savoir-faire et des connaissances spécifiques à l'exercice de ces métiers, mais en tant qu'intenses moments de socialisation secondaire, elles sont également à appréhender en termes de construction identitaire. Mais alors, quel est ce processus et comment opère-t-il ? Cet article, mêlant approche sociologique et expérience de formateur en travail social, s'attache à questionner trois aspects en particulier de ce phénomène : la formation comme processus de construction identitaire, les étapes de la socialisation professionnelle et enfin, le développement d'une culture professionnelle. The purpose of social work training is to acquire specific skills and knowledge to exercise of these professions, but as intense moments of secondary socialization, they are also to be understood in terms of identity building. But then, what is this process and how does it operate? This article, combining a sociological approach and experience as a trainer in social work, will focus on questioning three aspects in particular of this phenomenon: training as a process of identity construction, the stages of professional socialization, and finally, the development of a professional culture.
