Un thème central du débat sociologique international concerne le rôle fondamental de l'imaginaire. Il reflète les contenus et les formes de la société et relance les processus impliquant les différents contextes spatio-temporels. À cet égard, les réflexions de Fabio La Rocca sont certainement pertinentes. Il propose une analyse approfondie de la transition de la société du spectacle à la cultura de l'information et jette un regard complet sur des segments importants de l'encyclopédie imaginative moderne et contemporaine. Le sociologue italien montre comment l'ensemble kaléidoscopique de métaphores, symboles, allégories, qui alimente les modalités expressives, se révèle être à la fois un indicateur et un outil herméneutique des aspects extra-esthétiques de la réalité. A central theme of international sociological debate concerns the fundamental role of the imaginary. It reflects the contents and forms of society, and relaunches processes involving different spatio-temporal contexts. In this respect, Fabio La Rocca's thoughts are certainly relevant. He offers an in-depth analysis of society's transition from a focus on spectacle to information culture, and takes a comprehensive look at important segments of the modern and contemporary imaginative encyclopedia. The Italian sociologist shows how the kaleidoscopic ensemble of metaphors, symbols, and allegories that fuel modes of expression proves to be both an indicator of, and a hermeneutic tool for, the extra-aesthetic aspects of reality.
