La « Central Intelligence » dans James et la déconstruction du personnage.
La technique jamesienne de la « central intelligence » déconstruit le concept de personnage, ainsi que le révèle une analyse du rapport existant entre la « central intelligence » et son environnement d'une part, et le texte d'autre part. La « situation internationale » de James signifie que la « central intelligence » peut éviter le piège de la fluidité psychique qui caractérise le personnage moderne en trouvant le sens de la valeur déterminante de la tradition. Pourtant, en tant que processus d'une imagination qui se développe, la « central intelligence » transcende les limites du texte, dont l'intrigue, d'une infinie complexité, correspond aux restrictions de la tradition. The Jamesian device of central intelligence deconstructs the concept of character as an analysis of the relationship between the central intelligence and his environment on the one hand and the text on the other hand will reveal.
