Dans cet article, nous proposons une approche géographique et libertaire du mouvement free party. Nous définissons la free party comme une organisation socio-spatiale alternative, libre, éphémère, autogérée, émancipatrice de la société de consommation et d'un certain nombre de discriminations inhérentes au monde de la fête actuel (sélection en fonction de critères sociaux, vestimentaires, ethniques, budgétaires…). De ce point de vue, nous étudions la free party comme une fête libre en opposition avec la marchandisation de la fête et le contrôle de l'état et des pouvoirs publics, puis nous abordons les valeurs de la free party selon un certain nombre d'approches conceptuelles, avant de mesurer les pratiques libertaires inhérentes à la free party et leurs caractères éphémères. In this article, we propose a geographical and libertarian approach to the free party movement. We define free party as an alternative socio-spatial organization, free, ephemeral, self-managed, emancipatory from the consumer society and a certain number of discriminations inherent in the current party world (selection according to social, clothing, ethnic, budgetary, etc.). From this point of view, we study free party in opposition to the commodification of the party and the control of the state and public authorities, then we approach the values of free party according to a certain number of conceptual approaches, before measuring the libertarian practices inherent to free party and their ephemeral characteristics.
