Que faut-il prendre comme unité de base pour rendre compte de l'organisation sociale et du fonctionnement d'une société? L'action ou la communication? Intégrant les développements récents de la théorie de l'autopoièse à sa théorie des systèmes sociaux, Niklas Luhmann met en cause les raisonnements prédominants en sociologie qui mettent en avant l'action et le sujet. C'est, dit-il, la communication qui est à la base des systèmes sociaux et l'action comme l'individu n'émergent qu'aux plans del'auto-observation et de l'autodescription de ces systèmes (en tant que plans distincts de celui de la constitution). What is necessary as a base unity to realize what the social organization and the functioning of a society is? The action or the comunication? Inter grating the recent developments of the "autopoiese" and its theory of social systems, Niklas Luhmann questions the predominant reasoning in sociology that puts in priority the action and the subject. This he says is the bases of communication's social systems and the action is like the person emerging with plans for self observation and self description of these systems.
