Si l'on envisage les rapports qu'entretiennent l'évolution des télécommunications et celle de la compétitivité dans l'entreprise, il convient tout d'abord de lever un certain nombre d'ambiguïtés terminologiques. Trois situations peuvent ensuite être étudiées, selon que l'on accorde aux télécommunications un rôle neutre, passif ou actif. Le talent de chaque entreprise, la nature du secteur d'activité et l'état de la concurrence déterminent une grande variété d'utilisation des TI & С (Technologies d'Information et de Communication). In looking at the relationship between the development of telecommunications and that of competitiveness in firms, we should firstly clear a number of terminological ambiguities. Three situations can then be studied, according to whether we consider telecommunications as having a passive, active, or neutral role.
