	Résumé	Dans cette conférence partiellement autobiographique et désenchantée, E. Gombrich utilise ses souvenirs comme observateur des émissions radiophoniques allemandes de la guerre à la BBC, et les travaux publiés depuis, pour analyser la propagande radiophonique allemande. Conçue comme une amplification du meeting, elle avait pour but de faire participer l'auditeur à la grande histoire en direct. Elle visait également à faire partager le mythe de l'inéluctabilité de la victoire allemande, inscrite dans le destin de l'Humanité. Plutôt que de mensonge, E. Gombrich préfère parler à son propos d'interprétation systématiquement paranoïaque des événements. Tout y est décrypté comme une menace organisée par les ennemis de l'Allemagne. 	Résumé anglais	In this partially autobiographical paper with a disillusioned tone, E. Gombrich uses both his memories as a BBC observer of German radio programmes during the war, and work published since then, to analyse German propaganda. Designed to amplify political rallies, the aim of this propaganda was to make the listener feel he/she was participating in history in the making. It also aimed at sharing the myth of the ineluctability of German victory, inscribed in Human destiny. Rather than talking of lies, E. Gombrich prefers calling it a systematic paranoiac interpretation of events, where everything was seen as a threat organized by Germany's enemies.
