Dans cet article, nous transposons l'histoire de l'aviation civile africaine dans un aperçu général de l'histoire économique, sociale et politique postcoloniale du continent. L'objectif est d'explorer comment les études de cas empiriques de l'histoire de l'aviation peuvent nous fournir de nouvelles perspectives sur l'histoire contemporaine du continent. Nous proposons que les concepts d'aéromobilité, divisé entre aéromobilité et reconfiguration de l'espace, aéromobilité et reconfiguration de la modernitée vitesse commerciale contribuent à la structuration de ces histoires, car ils permettent de combiner les explorations du développement technique, de la production matérielle et de la consommation de l'aviation avec les imaginaires, les attentes, la politique, l'accès et le statut. Après avoir introduit ces termes, nous les appliquerons à une brève histoire générale de l'aviation civile en Afrique, basée sur une bibliographie éparse et incomplète sur le sujet. In this article, we transpose the history of African civil aviation onto a general overview of the continent's postcolonial economic, social and political history. The aim is to explore how empirical case studies of aviation history can provide us with new insights into the contemporary history of the continent. We first propose that the concepts of aeromobility, split between aeromobility and the reconfiguration of space and aeromobility and the reconfiguration of modernity, and the concept of commercial speed can contribute to the structuring of these histories, because they allow us to combine explorations of the technical development, material production and consumption of aviation with imaginaries, expectations, politics, access, and social status. After introducing these terms, we will apply them to a brief and general history of civil aviation in Africa, based in a scattered and incomplete literature on the subject.
