Résumé anglais Gérald Majou de la Débutrie has been the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility (SD&RS) expert representative at the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE) since 2010. He has contributed to the development of numerous tools designed to help French higher education and research institutions integrate sustainable development principles into their missions and operations. He agreed to answer our questions as part of the preparation of this issue. We asked him for his views on the expectations placed on institutions by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, in particular the training of all undergraduates in the ecological transition to sustainable development, and the creation of an SD&SET (sustainable development & social and environmental transition) master plan. This interview also sheds light on the institutions' responses, the factors that can facilitate or hinder their approaches, such as the SD&SR (sustainable development & social responsibility) reference framework, students' expectations, and pressure from accreditation bodies.
