À partir de 2009, les résultats électoraux du Congrès national africain, au pouvoir depuis la fin de l'apartheid, se sont progressivement effrités, jusqu'à le contraindre à former un gouvernement d'unité nationale à la suite des élections de mai 2024. Trahison des idéaux du mouvement de libération nationale, abus du droit au développement, mal-gouvernance et corruption endémique se mêlent ici pour expliquer la fin d'une hégémonie qui aura duré trois décennies. From 2009, the electoral results of the African National Congress, in power since the end of apartheid, have gradually declined to the point that it was forced to form a national unity government in the aftermath of the May 2024 elections. The treason of the ideals of the national liberation movement, the abuse of the right to development, poor governance and rampant corruption coalesce to explain the end of a three-decade hegemony.
