Une incommunication surgit toujours de façon inattendue.
Elle provoque très souvent une situation dans laquelle un recours
aux réflexes ou aux stéréotypes ne produit jamais une réponse adaptée. Sortir d'une phase d'incommunication nécessite d'y consacrer
un peu de temps. Aussi, à quoi faut-il occuper ce temps ? Bien sûr,
il est possible d'utiliser ce temps pour de la prévision, c'est-à-dire
se consacrer à la recherche de l'information qui nous permettra de
dépasser la situation de blocage. Mais il y a bien mieux à faire :
consacrer ce temps à la construction d'une anticipation, c'est-à-dire
produire mentalement différents futurs possibles, très contrastés,
afin d'en tirer les caractéristiques des principales conséquences de
la situation actuelle. Dans un monde où le recours à l'intelligence
artificielle devient le quotidien de la prise de décision, l'anticipation
devient largement supérieure à la prévision. Anticiper plutôt que
prévoir, telle est la piste que nous proposons pour sortir par le haut

A breakdown in communication always arises unexpectedly. It very
often leads to a situation in which resorting to ref lexes or stereotypes
never produces an appropriate response. Getting out of a phase of
incommunication requires spending a little time on it. So, how
should we spend that time? Of course, it is possible to use this time
for forecasting, i.e., to devote ourselves to finding the information
that will enable us to overcome the deadlock. But there is something
much better to do: devote this time to building anticipation, i.e.,
mentally producing different possible futures, very contrasting ones,
in order to draw out the characteristics of the main consequences of
the current situation. In a world where the use of artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday decision-making, anticipation is
becoming far superior to prediction. Anticipating rather than predicting is the path we propose to take in order to overcome all our
