Art plays a transformative role in society through its various manifestations and media, especially those that directly involve the community, such as the activities where textiles are used. Participatory practices allow individuals to express and share their feelings, emotions, and memories. In my artistic work, connections are established between the feminine and nature to denounce the mistreatment of both and find ways to restore their well-being. The work Little Golden Birds is no exception to this, and its description foreshadows the strength and transformative power of the art present in En-bola-atados (Tied on a ball). In this work of art, participants tear and wrap their garments during various collective actions, forming balls full of symbolism, which become metaphors for their own lives. With this purpose in mind, therapeutic workshops were carefully designed to heal pain through a cathartic and transformative process, creating spaces for dialogue and collaboration where testimonies and experiences are shared, demonstrating the narrative and healing capacity of this work.
