The virtual exhibition La Casa, A Space of Memories, hosted by the Casa de la Memoria in Medellín (Colombia), the Memorial da Resistência in São Paulo (Brazil), and the Research Group Écritures of the University of Lorraine (France), offers a symbolic environment where personal objects become vehicles for memory and mourning. Conceived as an intimate and respectful domestic space, La Casa invites individuals to submit photographs of meaningful objects, accompanied by brief texts explaining their emotional significance. These relics, linked to loved ones affected by the Colombian Armed Conflict, serve as silent witnesses to lives, experiences, and affections. Beyond their everyday function, each object holds an identity, revealing singular traits of those who preserved them. This collective act of remembrance transforms the digital archive into a sanctuary of memory, where absence is sublimated through the act of recalling. Within this space, remembrance becomes a gesture of dignity and resilience, facilitating the emotional processing of grief through the preservation of personal artifacts.
