Cet article analyse les échanges éducatifs entre le Chili et les États-Unis durant les premières décennies de la Guerre froide, une période marquée par l'expansion des opportunités éducatives entre les deux pays. En partant des difficultés rencontrées par l'Ambassade étatsunienne à Santiago pour coordonner et documenter les diverses activités éducatives existantes, ce travail constitue une première tentative de cartographier les acteurs et programmes impliqués au cours de cette période. S'appuyant sur des sources primaires d'institutions clés telles que le Département d'État et l'Institut d'éducation internationale, l'article examine les interactions entre les acteurs chiliens et étatsuniens, propose une périodisation de ces échanges et, à travers l'analyse de données statistiques, offre une vue d'ensemble de la circulation des étudiants chiliens vers les États-Unis. This article analyzes the educational exchanges between Chile and the United States during the early decades of the Cold War, a period marked by the expansion of educational opportunities between the two countries. Starting from the challenges faced by the US Embassy in Santiago in coordinating and documenting the various existing educational activities, this work represents a first attempt to map the actors and programs involved during the period. Drawing on primary sources from key institutions such as the Department of State and the Institute of International Education, the study examines the interactions between Chilean and US actors, proposes a periodization of these exchanges, and, through statistical data analysis, provides a comprehensive overview of the flow of Chilean students to the United States.
