Pour des raisons historiques, religieuses et démographiques, la France est particulièrement sensible à tout ce qui se joue sur la scène proche-orientale. Outre la religion et l'histoire, il y a aussi la façon dont les passions et les intérêts internes à la société française se télescopent avec le conflit au Proche-Orient, laissant la place à des interprétations contradictoires, propres à la mondialisation, de la situation sur place. Ainsi, alors que souffle actuellement un vent de paix sur la région susceptible d'assouplir les postures les plus radicales, paradoxalement, le contexte social actuel en France et la crise des institutions de la République alimentent la radicalisation des discours et le raidissement de la société française. The Paradox For historical, religious and demographical reasons, France is very sensitive to all the ongoing events on the Middle East scene. Apart from religious and historical considerations, passions and interests collide with the Middle East conflict, leaving the place to contradictory interpretations of the situation on the field peculiar to globalisation. Whereas a wind of peace, which is capable to soften the most extremist views, is currently blowing in the region, the French present social situation and the Republic institutions crisis are paradoxically feeding the radicalisation of opinions and the rigidity of the French society.
