      PAROLE POLITIQUE DU PAPE, URBI ET ORBI Aux bornes d'un demi-millénaire (une Bulle de 1493 et des allocutions de 1985 et 1988), des discours politiques tenus par le pape manifestent l'opposition de deux mondes. Dans le premier, le souverain religieux commande aux rois de la terre au nom de pouvoirs supérieurs de juridiction. Dans le second, un dignitaire moral recommande et conseille, au nom d'une grandeur spirituelle acceptée par consensus. L'abandon de la performativité a suivi le cours de la désacralisation.
      POLITICAL SPEECH AND THE POPE, URBI AND ORBI Examples of political discourses by popes separated by half a millennia, a papal bull from 1493 and speeches delivered in 1985 and 1988, offer a contrast of two worlds. In the first, the religious sovereign commands the kings of the earth in the name of greater powers of jurisdiction. In the second, a moral dignitary counsels and advises in the name of a spiritual grandeur accepted by consensus. In the course of desacralization, performative speech was abandoned.

      FOI ET OPPRESSION. LE DISCOURS DE LA THEOLOGIE DE LA LIBERATION (TL) Les discours de la TL articulent les instances du politique, de l'histoire et de la foi. Le fondement de ce rapport théologico-politique étant la misère et l'oppression, on examine les liens discursifs de trois notions : pauvreté, politique et conversion. Le concept de deixis discursive nous permet de comprendre la «conversion» du texte biblique par le politique. La libération de l'oppression et de la misère se présente alors comme condition de foi.
      FAITH AND OPPRESSION: THE DISCOURSE OF THE THEOLOGY OF LIBERATION (TL) The discourses of the TL articulate the transformations of politics, history and faith. Because the basis for this theological-political relationship is extreme poverty and oppression, we will examine the discursive links of three notions : poverty, politics and conversion. The concept of discursive deixis will help us to understand how the biblical text is « converted » by politics. Liberation from oppression and miseries will be revealed as a condition of faith.

      LE DECALOGUE FACE AU SIECLE. COMPARAISON FREQUENTIELLE L'évolution de l'Eglise catholique peut se lire à travers les fréquences des mots utilisés par les deux versions françaises des catéchismes romains, celle de 1923 (reprenant le texte du concile de Trente) et celle de 1992 (texte du Vatican). Leur comparaison montre, à propos des dix commandements, le passage d'un discours sur la Loi divine, l'ordre et le péché à un discours sur la morale, la dignité humaine et les problèmes de société.
      THE DECALOGUE UP AGAINST OUR AGE: A COMPARISON OF WORD FREQUENCY The frequency of words used by the French versions of two Roman catechisms, of 1923, which takes up the text of the Council of Trent, and of 1992, which uses that of the Vatican, provides the basis for a reading of the evolution of the Catholic Church. The comparison reveals how, with regard to the Ten Commandments, a discourse on divine Law, order and sin is replaced by a discourse on morality, human dignity and problems of society.

      DISCOURS CHRETIENS ET DISCOURS SOCIALISTES : UN DOUBLE PARCOURS L'influence chrétienne sur le discours socialiste fut longtemps superficielle et ne permit pas une véritable ouverture de ce parti vers les milieux catholiques. Il fallut attendre deux révolutions d'esprit, l'une romaine (l'œcuménisme), l'autre socialiste (la volonté d'unir la gauche) pour que l'on constate la réappropriation de certains thèmes.
      CHRISTIAN DISCOURSES AND SOCIALIST DISCOURSES: MODERN CROSSROADS For many years Christian influence on socialist discourse was superficial and hardly allowed for a true ouverture by the socialist party to Catholics. Two mental revolutions would take place, one originating in Rome (ecumenism) and the other socialist (the desire to unite the Left), before certain themes would be re-appropriated.

Malgré l'invocation réitérée de l'ennemi communiste, c'est au discours libéral que le catholicisme franquiste porte atteinte.
      THE CATHOLICISM UNDER THE FRANCO REGIME IN THE EDITORIALS OF THE SPANISH DAILY « YA » (1939-1945) In the early years of the Franco regime the discourse of Catholicism continued building up its new-found identity, an identity which had sprung from the Spanish civil war. It represented itself as emanating from the discourse of general Franco, who himself is raised to a state of sacredness by it. In spite of the fact that Communism was repeatedly invoked as being the enemy, the real target of the attacks of the discourse of Catholicism was that of liberalism.

      ANALOGIES POLITICO-RELIGIEUSES DANS L'ACTION PSYCHOLOGIQUE PENDANT LA GUERRE FROIDE L'interaction entre le civil et le militaire dans le cadre de l'action psychologique pendant la guerre froide militarise le discours des sciences humaines. Cette militarisation s'exprime, en partie, par l'établissement d'analogies discursives recoupant les domaines de l'idéologie et du religieux. Ces énoncés produits par des civils pour des militaires autorisent la mobilisation politique des secteurs militaires catholiques les plus radicalement anticommunistes.
      POLITICAL-RELIGIOUS ANALOGIES IN THE «ACTION PSYCHOLOGIQUE » DURING THE COLD WAR The interaction between the civil and the military within the framework of the « action psychologique » during the cold war militarized the discourse of the social sciences. This militarization was expressed, in part, by the establishment of discursive analogies briding the domains of ideology and the religious. Produced by civilians for military use, these utterances authorized the political mobilization of those catholic military sectors which were most radically anticommunist.
