The relations between animals and administrative law are placed under the sign of anthropocentrism in as much as, most of the time, animals are not regarded as having a particular status, but only as intermediaries for human activities, which are regulated by administrative law. Yet, the active participation of animals to the understanding of some key concepts of administrative law, public service and public authorities should allow them to be granted a special status, aiming mostly to their protection as is the case in constitutional law.
