Les changements géographiques du clivage public/privé dans l'enseignement primaire et secondaire en Angleterre. La fréquentation du système éducatif privé et étatique, aux niveaux primaire et secondaire, est très différent entre le nord et le sud de l'Angleterre. La dichotomie spatiale est accentuée pour les filles. On analyse les changements qui se sont opérés dans le domaine de l'éducation étatique et privée afin de comprendre les évolutions géographiques en cours. Les auteurs comparent l'organisation des systèmes scolaires, primaire et secondaire, des deux secteurs d'enseignement. The consumption of private and state education, both at primary and secondary level, is markedly different between the north and the south of England. The spatial divide is increasing, particularly for girls. Changes in the state and private sectors of education are reviewed as a background to and explanation of the changing geography. The association between the geography of consumption of private education at the primary and secondary levels is then related to the organization of the state sector.
