Résumé anglais Geographical Dynamics of Mortality in Spain. The striking progresses of life expectancy over the last two decades place Spain in the group of the counties with the longest average life. The gaps between sexes and between the different parts of the territory do not disappear for all that they are established at the scale of the provinces (mortality comparative rates) and of the regions (life expectancy at birth). If a debasement in the position of the Northern industrial regions (The Asturia, The Basque Country) appears so clearly than the improvement in the position of the Old Castile, the persistence of other seats of high risk (Andalusia, Murcia, Estrema- dura, Galicia) strongly limits the "contrast inversion".
