L'économie tessinoise, qui a connu un développement spectaculaire, emploie presque 60% de travailleurs étrangers, essentiellement d'origine italienne. Les statistiques permettent de distinguer quatre catégories de travailleurs étrangers selon qu'ils sont résidents (« domiciliati » et « dimoranti ») ou migrants (frontaliers et saisonniers). On constate que la plupart d'entre eux travaillent dans l'industrie, les travaux publics, les transports, l'hôtellerie et la restauration. Les emplois qu'ils y occupent sont d'autant plus qualifiés qu'ils sont résidents et qu'ils le sont depuis longtemps. Source : Éditeur (via Persée) |

Foreign Population in the Ticino Canton (Switzerland). The economy of the Ticino Canton, which has greatly increased, employs almost 60% of foreign workers, essentially of Italian origin. Statistics allow to distinguish four categories of foreign workers: residents («domiciliati» and «dimoranti») or migrants («frontalieri» and «stagionali»). Most of them are employed in industry, the public sector, transport and the hotel and food business. The quality of his job largely depends of how long a resident has lived in the Canton.
