This paper proposes to analyze two cases of intercultural relationships of contemporary creations in the Latino-American context, from the concepts of culture and decolonization according to Manuela Carneiro da Cunha and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak.  To situate the analysis, the case of the performance Bororó created by Eugenio Gomez and Henrry Ibargüen Murillo in Colombia, and the case of the relationship that Marlui Miranda and the Paiter Suruí's people developed, in the Brazilian Amazon, will serve as an example to move towards the proposal of a relationship of creative partnership. The introduction of the partnership concept in the relationships of intercultural creation makes it possible to conceive non-hierarchical exchanges between different scenic expressions. In this type of relationship each participant finds a rewarding place in the creation (which becomes a common work) and the differences between forms and traditions in contact are potentiated, thus opening up aesthetic possibilities to advance towards a decolonization of the imaginary.
My approach is a dialogue between European theatrical studies and decolonial studies to analyse the transmodern theatre of Verónica Musalem.
The narratives of intimacy can teach us to face the biopolitical devices controlling our intangible production, especially our affections and desires. They are a luminous invitation for the invention, or rather, the radical reinvention of the subject. What is invention if not questioning the obvious? Or the material illusion of the world? Our constructions and ideas about the world? The experimentation of oneself in the biodrama of Argentinian actress Vivi Tellas and in the relational objects of Brazilian artist Ligia Clark are investigative works that may retake, even if in a constantly unstable form, the subject's and the art's vital force, mixed together. Thinking it all over again, revisiting ourselves, is to create a tension in the representation system and its intimidating “realities”, inventing new possibilities of intervention in the world. Opening tears, fissures, and gaps in the real, the biodrama and the relational objects open a passage for the body-theatre and the body-animal, promising to overthrow hegemonic models that produce bodies. To decolonize, demarketize, and deprivatize the bodies of form and specificity, opening the access to information and the experimental production according to a powerful geopolitical debate between both artists.
In Bolivia, the Teatro Trono, implanted in El Alto on the heights of La Paz since 1989, is a theater troupe that first formed, under the impulse of Iván Nogales Bazán, around young children and teenagers in extremely precarious situations before opening itself to various audiences and re-founding a "community" in its neighborhood from the artistic practice. Animated by the principle of the "Decolonization of the body", both political and poetic orientation of the content of the works but also methodology of the theatrical work and relational mode with its social environment, the troupe now has to its credit several dozen plays and national and international tours. It has organized itself around the COMPA foundation (Compañia de Productores en Artes), within whose walls its members give multidisciplinary artistic workshops. We propose to review the milestones of its history and approach works from its repertoire by questioning some of the socio-aesthetic issues that have made it, in recent years, one of the main drivers of the Latin American dynamic of "art for social transformation".

This paper attempts to analyze the structure of contemporary Mapuche theater, or contemporary Chilean-Mapuche theater. In it we question, from a historiographical point of view, the delay in the development and positioning of a theater whose themes reflect Mapuche thought, as well as the aesthetic attributes of this theater within the context of contemporary Chilean theater. We examine the political aspect of this theater using the framework of emancipation. What has Mapuche theater emancipated itself from specifically? And if this emancipation is real, to what extent or in what ways is the political aspect interrogated in its writing and staging? In order to consider these questions, we analyze the main works that contributed to the configuration of Mapuche theater in the 20th century and propose a deeper reflection on the works of the Kimvn theater company and the artist Paula González Seguel.
« The revolution will be decolonial and feminist or shall not be » : a claiming widely witnessed in the streets of Chile throughout social outbreaks of October 2019; an instruction, too, for the social and political organizations to come, and for Latin American performing arts in the upcoming years. After a three years investigation on Chilean theatre festivals, I'll turn this article into an opportunity to focus on the works of mapuche performing artists Paula González Seguel and Ricardo Curaqueo Curiche – and more specifically, on the political nature of their creating as indigenous artists inside the national cultural institution. What are the new options that such art forms, elaborated within the bounds of a mapuchidad (« mapuche being ») in constant and complex reconfigurations, are presenting us with in the perspective of building a pluricultural community ? Now that an indigenous representativity is a crucial as ever in the elaboration of a new Constitution, now that surfaces at long last the possibility of a plurinational State, we'll question the political operativity of retrieving aesthetical and cultural territories, and that of understanding culture with its products and spaces as everefficient territories for an interculturality reconciled with dissensus and conflict.
      • As Grazzi Ellas (primer acto) entre a memória e a explosão do corpo travesti - Yvets Morales Medina, Melissa Campus accès libre avec résumé en anglais
This article presents a theoretical empirical reflection. It is from the semiotics of culture that the configuration of the semiosphere of the play Grazzi Ellas (monologue) is approached, to place in the theatrical scene the violence suffered by people who define themselves as trans, transvestites, transsexuals. It is a dramaturgy written by the transvestite actress Melissa Campus, that includes transvestite life stories and her own. This play aims to denounce violence, as well as the family and social abandonment that they suffer. This article seeks to dialogue with the experiences of public space construction, in order to contextualize the construction of the semiosphere, according to the author Luri Lotman, as well as to observe the explosions of the theatrical sign and the ruptures that transvestite bodies cause in the daily social environment and in the theatrical setting.
In this paper, we study the changes in the representation of masculinities in Colombian drama from the 1990s onwards. Drawing on texts by Fabio Rubiano and Ana María Vallejo, we seek to answer the following question: how can we restore the particularity of a question marked by its propensity for hypertrophy and neutralisation? This corpus invites us to question the stakes and pitfalls of the different aesthetic strategies that challenge the concept of masculinities in order to suggest conceptual tools. These tools aim to assess whether these changes derive from a simple mutation of androcentrism or whether they undermine it. In the first case, that of the "crisis of masculinity", the question is approached from an ontological perspective and tends to renew the universal figure of the tragic hero, now dressed in postmodern attire. In the second case, that of "critical masculinities", this totalitarian view is profoundly questioned, notably with the reclassifying of the masculine in the writing. This will enable us to conclude with the observation of an innovative type of drama which constitutes a possible alternative to post-dramatic proposals, which we call here "interstitial".

Teatro x la Identidad is a theatrical movement from 2000 in Argentina fuelled by the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, through their fight to find their grandchildren which were born in jail during the 1976 to 1983 dictatorship and then "appropriated" (or "stolen" as commonly said). Those children have been adopted illegally and have no knowledge of their origin. These lost kids are around 20 years old in 2000 when the Abuelas make a drastic change in their strategy to directly talk to the corresponding young generation, hoping that the ones who have doubts on their ancestry will decide to sample their ADN, which is the only way to unveil the truth. In order to do so, the Abuelas lie on the theatrical community and launch a collaboration meant to last, as 20 years after, the cycle Teatro x la Identidad still happens every year. It roots, in Argentina, the renewal of a theatre of militancy, serving a political and memorial cause, renewing with the spirit which was characteristic of dramaturgy during the 1960s and 1970s. However, even though some plays written for the cycle are strictly revolving around the stolen babies during the dictatorship, playwriters extend this field to a wider consideration of the identity and its matters : forced affiliations, assigned identities, acculturation and assimilation processes, complexity of self-definition, the different power relationships which affect individuals and society and contribute to a construction of a self-identity. Teatro x la Identidad cycles are then the vehicle of considerations about social relationships between gender, class and race, in a country where the myth of the "white Argentina" is still very dense and can slow down the decolonization process. In that sense, this article analyses how this political theatre, built as a tool for a very specific fight, also succeeded in replacing the peculiar battle set at the crossroad of fights for emancipation, in an intersectional approach, having the question of identity at its heart.
Since 2015, Argentina has seen a resurgence of feminist activism, thanks to the Ni una menos movement and the campaign for the right to abortion, among others. Some Argentinean theater companies are taking the stage in support of these mobilizations. The association Teatro x la Identidad, created in 2000 with the idea of supporting the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo project, seems to be part of this movement, although its institutional mission does not make its feminist commitment explicit. In this article, I will demonstrate how Teatro x la Identidad, which has defined itself as a tool for sociocultural change for the past 20 years, supports feminist theory. First, I will put into context the recent feminist activism in Argentina. I will then outline the evolution of the Teatro x la Identidad's mandate and the aspects of its work that relate to social justice. At last, I will analyze three texts from Teatro x la Identidad in order to reveal their feminist dimension: Gloria by Virginia Feinmann (2014), El Origen by Carol Inturias (2015) and Rosaura by Pablo dos Reis (2017).

This article aims to shed light on the artist and Senator Jesusa Rodríguez, a key figure in the contemporary Mexican arts scene and major player in the left-wing political party currently in power. After retracing the emergence of politically committed cabaret in Mexico City in the 1970s, we will go on to analyze some of the key characteristics of the cabaret developed by Jesusa Rodríguez and her companion Liliana Felipe. Finally, we will focus on their outdoor political cabaret performances, thanks to which the two women reinvested the public space of the street and took full part in the debates which were raging in Mexico at the time, thereby reaffirming the deeply political dimension of their art.
In the middle of the social crisis that experienced Chile during the austral spring of 2019, theatres and artists – through their hoarding and social media – featured recent plays that according to them had anticipated the social crisis and corresponded perfectly to what Chileans were living. Communication strategy to appeal spectators or romantical creation of an image of prophet-artists, this type of remarks mainly reveals that theatre during the last fifteen years has focused on the discontent and sociopolitical questions expressed by the Chilean society. We shall see in this article how this predictive and anticipatory characteristic draws a dramaturgy of the emancipation allowing to imagine a new socio-political system, from the stage.

On the occasion of the colloquium, Claudia Garcés presents her work Humo pero no fuego, Dramatículas Escénicas al margen de la Ley, al margen del Amor. Three short plays that sadly show the banality of the Colombian armed conflict's evil: an evil that is not only the drug traffickers', but also the guerilla's as well as the army's. This testimonial theatre reflects the teatrista's own experience as her brother was one of the innocent civilians murdered in the episode known as the "false positives". The artist's cry is condensed into a reduced format: firstly because of the brevity of the drama, which becomes a "dramaticule", but also by the way it is set in space. The actors perform in a minimal square drawn on the floor, and their body is their only prop and set. Claudia Garcès, who is at once an artist, an academic and also a victim offers an extension of her creative process in this academic-poetic text, proposing to turn pain into an act of political resistance.

Although the Truth and Reconciliation Commission identifies racism as one of the structural causes of the internal armed conflict (1980-2000), the memory processes in Peru remain following (self)exclusionary patterns. The “indigenous memories” has not gained enough traction to become an academic object of study, but the approaches to their analysis have been done by different disciplines that amalgamate them under the category of “victims”. In this article I reflect on two reasons that might be impacting on persistence of this scenario, therefore I contend that the memory and identity processes in Peru are strategically limited by the society's organisation as created by the political and intellectual elites: the transformation of a multicultural society into a mestizo nation-state.

    • a vitrine pandêmica e a fragmentação do espaço público - Muriel Emídio Pessoa do Amaral accès libre avec résumé en anglais
The purpose of this essay is to report the fragmentation of public space during the pandemic of new coronavirus by reading a shop window. As presented by Maurice Blanchot, Hannah Arendt and Marcondes Filho, the report does not propose to present a new theory, but to present an event. Thus, the image in question shows the fragmentation of public space, showing aspects of individuality from the perspective of Hannah Arendt and Richard Sennett, and also lives can be discarded.
